From May 14 to 17, 2019, A&E Gütermann again presented itself with a large exhibition booth in an exposed location at texprocess in Frankfurt am Main. With over 1,800 exhibitors and around 47,000 trade visitors from 116 countries, texprocess once again proved to be the leading international trade fair in the garment manufacturing and textile industry.
This year's show was all about digital solutions for the industry - from fully networked microfactories and self-learning machines to cloud-based and international collaboration between designers, product developers and manufacturers. Digitization and networking in the industry has picked up speed and it becomes clear once again that we are in the midst of the 4th industrial revolution.
Besides, texprocess focused for the first time on the sustainability approaches of its exhibitors with the programme "sustainability at texprocess". True to the motto 'sustainability is not a trend, sustainability is omnipresent' and after a positive evaluation of our sustainability measures, A&E Gütermann was delighted being part of this special programme. Protecting the environment, resources and the climate are key issues for A&E Gütermann. As an innovative company, we make an active contribution towards the continuous improvement of our ecological footprint. With success: Over the past years, not only electricity consumption has been reduced by 7%, but also CO2 emissions have been reduced by 11% per kilogram of yarn. Water consumption has been lowered by 48% and since 2017, 16 of our sites have no longer generated landfill waste. We also make no compromises with our products. In addition to our special thread Mara rPET made from recycled PET granulate and our threads made from Lyocell, a cellulose fibre that simply decomposes, especially the presentation of our conductive threads were very well received among the visitors.
At this point, a big thank you goes out to the numerous booth visitors, who made the texprocess 2019 exhibition a very special event for us!
