On 1 September 2017, six young people started their sandwich apprentice course at A&E Gütermann. The new apprentices include a textile production mechanic, an industrial clerk with an additional qualification in European business management, three more industrial clerks and a university student taking a sandwich course in the field of international business. A&E Gütermann has been one of the region's most important training companies for many years.
The day began with the new apprentices at A&E Gütermann receiving a warm welcome by managing director Jürgen Drescher, HR manager Martina Kaltenbach, head of training Verena Burger and works council director Dieter Ohnemus.
On this celebratory occasion, the management also awarded Felicitas Leikauf with her graduation certificate. The apprentice had successfully completed her apprenticeship to become an industrial clerk with the additional qualification of European business management. We are particularly pleased that the graduate will also continue to work for A&E Gütermann in the future.
The subsequent introduction programme began with a full tour of the production site, giving the apprentices the opportunity to see the diversity of their future employer's products. After eating lunch together, the apprentices received a general presentation about their new workplace and the training department informed them of the best ways to make their new apprenticeship commence as smoothly as possible. In the coming weeks, internal seminars and team building events will provide them with further basics to give them the best possible start to their new professional chapter.
